WISHING U ALL A V MERRY CHRISTMAS. We might be back in 2012. Depending on whether Terry wins the Euromillions.

2/2 FROM our new pal OLAF. Did he deliver? Course he did.

No2: A tanning studio with two paper bins. Nice colour.

Tuesday 20 December 2011

We've received a great double contribution from the excellently named OLAF (a fine name for a man. Especially a bin man.)

Here's the first, complete with words from Olaf himself:

No 1: A container to haul away the trash that remains if you gut a house by a company named Sisyphos: nice idea naming your rubbish disposal company after a well known figure from Greek mythology

OLAF, we could not agree more.

Part two coming up on Thursday at the usual time. Will Olaf deliver the goods twice?

Thursday 15 December 2011

Another delivery from Cuitadella Menorca. We feel for the poor guy at the front, his job, slowly being rendered pointless by the multicoloured bystanders.

SPANISH BASURA. CUITADELLA, MENORCA to be precise.

Great perspective shot from MW here. Just you try drawing that in your GCSE art class. But take note of how the lids are similar to the classic Brabantia roll top bread bin. Alright? Good.

A REAL HEAD-TURNER from our Bins in Contemporary Art Correspondent, Jonathan Foreman.

A message to Martin Boyce: Good job in elevating the humble bin to where it belongs. Not since the days of Neil Buchanan making a picture of Terry's nan out of discarded crisp packets have we been so happy.

This great piece of BINprovisation is in a tiny town called Santa Rosa, the Amazon Basin, Bolivia.
